NMR-Zentrum Darmstadt

The NMR-Zentrum Darmstadt (NMRZ, Darmstadt NMR centre) is an interdisciplinary platform for the scientific application of nuclear magnetic resonance and related techniques. It houses scientists and institutions from Darmstadt and the surrounding area, with members in the chemistry, physics, material science and mechanical engineering departments, the Fraunhofer LBF and the companies Merck and Evonik.

The purpose of its creation is to focus the NMR related expertise and competence of the contributing partners. The centre serves as a contact point for everybody – from university as well as industry – interested in NMR. Scientists of TU Darmstadt, from institutions within Darmstadt as well as from surrounding areas can become members.

The centre is represented by a director, who is elected for a period of two years. Currently this position is held by Prof. Dr. Michael Vogel.
